432 words, and some sense of where I’m going.
I have to steal the time, but I’m finding it.
The lure of a laptop is very strong this month. Argh.

Ahhhh, finally. The story reveals itself. What a relief.
I still am not entirely certain what the resolution is, but I have an inkling of the direction. 5,000 words is not a lot to play with, but I am bound and determined to continue the theme of the series. Which is, of course, “average life in Valdemar with the volume slightly turned up because the heroine is a relentless fruitcake”.
What can I say. I really like writing about Valdemaran Bards.
God, editors, muse, and readers willing, there will someday be five of these. If I’d just been doing these from the start, there’d already be four, but alas — I wasn’t quite lighthearted enough at 18 to compose a character like Lelia.

I write stuff in what is usually the speculative-genre-which-is-to-say-"fantasy" vein, and talk about it here. For more, see the About Me or Bibliography pages.
